 KyraMinturn Sedgwick, born 19th August 1965, is an American actor. Her most famous role is that of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick received an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The show ended after its seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring character as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received nominations for the Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995).
